Overview

The Engineering Faculty is one of the most active faculties in the Isfahan state. The faculty building has 4 floors with and 25000 square meters of educational space. The faculty has more than 50 faculty members along with equipped labs and workshops which has nominated the faculty as one of the most scientific faculties in Iran which tries to educate the engineers at the highest level for industry. Furthermore, since the faculty offers post graduate degrees, a large number of the researchers are graduated from this faculty.

Having different fields in mechanical, industrial and aerospace engineering, the engineering faculty would be the @@@ in mechanical and industrial engineering in the next 10 years. The faculty would also make investments on the experimental fields so that it could be a reliable reference for technological projects in Isfahan state and more generally, in Iran.

The engineering faculty has 35 classes which are being used for curricular and extracurricular sessions.The engineering faculty has 2 seminar rooms in which the defense sessions of the graduate students along with the lectures of the university professors who are either inside or outside of the university are presented.

The well-equipped labs and workshops of the engineering faculty is one of the most important advantages of the faculty. In Isfahan state the equipment of these research and educational workshops and labs is unique. Some of the outstanding labs and workshops are briefly introduced as follows:

Associations

Mechanics scientific group:

The mechanics student scientific group is one of the primary student scientific groups in Najafabad branch Islamic Azad University. The core of the group was founded primarily in 1376 by a group of the outstanding and brilliant faculty members and students. After separation of the electrical and computer engineering fields from the engineering faculty, the group preceded its activities as the manufacturing mechanics group. After addition of the other subdisciplines of mechanical engineering field and the demand for development of the group's activities, the group name changed into the scientific group of mechanics. The primary activities started in 1380 by formation of the founder board. The official license of the group issued in 1384 and since then, the group has preceded its activities.

Aerospace scientific group

The aerospace scientific group of the Najafabad branch Islamic Azad University was approved by the research vice chancellor of the central organization of Islamic Azad University in 1392 (2013) and its work license was issued. In Farvardin 1393 (March 2014) the first election of the group was held. After election of the first board of directions, the group work commenced.

The industrial engineering scientific and research group of Najafabad branch Islamic Azad University was founded in 1372 simultaneously with the foundation of the industrial engineering field (industrial manufacturing subdiscipline) as the primary student association in the university. Since 1387 when the industrial engineering group was moved to the engineering building, the association has worked till now. Preparation of a good atmosphere for data, experiences and ideas transaction and analysis of the current students' problems are the main programs of the association, and holding of the scientific meetings is regarded to fulfill these objectives. Furthermore, collection of the databases from the last scientific developments and contributions which however can be quite helpful, is one of the main programs of the association.
